Baptist Health Care Foundation Raises More Than $93,500 to Support Lifesaving Mammograms

PENSACOLA, FLA. (Nov. 19, 2025) – Baptist Health Care Foundation raised more than $93,500 to benefit its Mammogram Fund. The fund provides access to mammograms for uninsured individuals in our communities, as well as education and support for early detection. The Foundation works with community partners and donors year-round to help raise funds and awareness for this lifesaving effort.
 
The program remains vitally important as Baptist continues to eliminate barriers for those in need of screenings. Over the past 16 years, the Foundation’s Mammogram Fund has provided screenings for 3,024 patients. As a result of these screenings, 813 patients required additional testing, and 36 were diagnosed with breast cancer.
 
“Early detection saves lives, and thanks to our donors, thousands of women have received critical screenings they otherwise could not afford,” said Heather Moorer, Foundation director.
 
The Foundation would like to thank our community partners Pensacola Breast Cancer Association, Pink Pirates of Navarre, Tate High School Booster Club, Your Local Honda Dealer, The Grand Marlin Pensacola Beach, Jewelers Trade Shop and Oyster Bay Boutique Hotel, as well as all donors who supported this initiative.
