Please share why you became a Women’s Board member. Why is Baptist important or special to you?

I became a Women’s Board member because of the incredible warmth and kindness I experienced from the Foundation team over the years. Long before I joined the board, they greeted me with genuine smiles and unwavering positivity. That kind of consistent encouragement made me think, “I’d love to be part of something like this.”

Now that I serve alongside these amazing women, I can confidently say they are every bit as genuine and inspiring as I imagined. It’s a privilege to belong to such a powerhouse group. Baptist is deeply special to me. I’ve worked for Baptist Health Care for over 23 years, and professionally, it has shaped so much of who I am.

But beyond that, Baptist is truly family. When I unexpectedly lost my mother in October 2024, I faced one of the hardest moments of my life. The love, compassion and support I received from my Baptist family during that time was overwhelming in the best way. They showed up for me, not just as colleagues, but as true family. That kind of care is something I will never forget.

What would you like Women’s Board members to know about you – your experience, background, education and family?

I’ve been part of the Baptist Health Care family since 2002 and currently serve as a physician liaison and continuing education professional. In this role, I coordinate provider celebration events, conferences and courses that support lifelong learning in health care. I truly believe in the power of education, and I hope the programs I help create contribute to stronger providers, healthier patients and empowered communities.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mom to my one and only son, Caleb — the joy of my life. Motherhood keeps me grounded, grateful and focused on what truly matters.

Please share a moment or experience that you, a friend or a loved one experienced as a Women’s Board member.

One of the most meaningful parts of serving on the Women’s Board has been participating in our annual fashion show — not just because the event is fun and fabulous, but because of the impact behind it.

Through our efforts, we’ve supported projects that directly benefit our community, such as purchasing specialized playground equipment for our behavioral health unit and providing mammograms for individuals without access or insurance. These are life‑changing initiatives, and it makes me proud to be part of a group that turns compassion into action.
