NEWS & EVENTSHelping Hands along with BHCF Announces Scholarship Recipients
Baptist Health Care Foundation and the helping Hands Employee Progam are pleased to announce that 20 scholarships were recently awarded to Baptist Health Care Employees, employee dependents and area residents.
At Baptist Health Care, we consider our employees to be our best asset. Nothing makes us happier than seeing our employees and their families reach their full potential. These $1,000 scholarships are made possible each year through the Baptist Health Care Foundation and the Baptist Health Care Employee program, Helping Hands. Helping Hands is a program created for employees, by employees. Employees make a voluntary gift through payroll deductions each month to fund this program that is designed to provide financial assistance to employees in need, food baskets during the holidays and scholarships such as these. The majority of our new Baptist Scholars are enrolled in health care programs at Pensacola Junior College, the University of West Florida, Troy University (Florida Region), Okaloosa-Walton College, and Jefferson Davis Community college. Former scholarship recipients continue to enjoy a wide variety of challenging careers with Baptist health care such as nursing, counseling, medical technology, physical therapy and social work. A reception honoring the recipients will be held September 4 in the Baptist Hospital Heritage Room at 3:30p.m. |
