About 40 women attended the Sept. 27 Women’s Night Out (WNO) event at Hemingway’s on Pensacola Beach to learn about current and upcoming Women’s Board of the Baptist Health Care Foundation initiatives. Representatives from Twenty-Nine Eleven, Mary Kay Cosmetics and Stella and Dot sold merchandise at the event, donating 20 percent or more of the evening’s proceeds to the Women’s Board.

Brooke Hicks, Women’s Board president, reported on the group’s recent donation of $50,000 for the library at the Lakeview Children’s Building. Hicks also shared information about the board’s pending events that include the annual Stepping Out in Style Fashion Show on Oct. 20 at New World Landing and a Jessie Mae Bag sale Oct. 24, 25 and 26 in the Baptist Medical Towers. The board also will participate in Bras Across the Bridge event Oct. 22 at the Bob Sikes Bridge. WNO serves as a thank you for current members and an introduction for prospective members to the Women’s Board.
